I know we’re already into the 2nd half of January and many of you already know about this, but for those of you who haven’t had a chance to call in to the shop yet… I’ve made a few changes and brought in new produce.
As you can see, I’ve moved the till & counter to the opposite side of the shop & jiggled around with the shelves.
However, it’s not just because I fancied a change (although I have to admit I was getting itchy feet) or thought a bit of “feng shui” was needed.
It’s to make room for a couple of chest freezers full of yummy, frozen produce that, just like much of the other stock, works on the “help yourself” principle.
The whole idea is to stick to the same format that’s already successful, but expand the range on offer.
So now you can buy the following loose, frozen produce:
- Californian fruit salad
- Summer fruits mix
- Cherry berry delicious mix
- Bramley apple slices
- Blackberries
- Home roast potatoes
- Steakhouse chips
- “Petit pois” peas
- Broad beans
- Sliced green beans
- Farmhouse vegetable mix
- Tuscan roasting vegetables
- Breaded garlic mushrooms
- Yorkshire pudding
- All butter croissants
- Pecan & maple danish
- Chocolate twists
- Breaded fish cakes
- Smoked haddock with mozzarella & spring onion fish cakes
Now I know I’m biased (after all, I’m selling the stuff!), but I’m really impressed with the range. I’ve not tried everything yet, but what I have had is excellent – especially the fish cakes, chocolate twists and croissants -and I can thoroughly recommend you try them out.
On Fridays I’ll have some samples available for you to try and, hopefully, persuade you to buy some to try at home.
Oh, and by the way, a belated Happy New Year!
